Orbia’s Fluor & Energy Materials business has developed a breakthrough process to recover, purify and upcycle graphite from domestic EV battery sources. The proprietary technology creates ultra high purity upcycled graphite indistinguishable from pristine graphite. It is economically viable and produces up to 4x less CO₂ than synthetic graphite and up to 2x less CO₂ than mined natural graphite.
